Back in the day my dad picked up a 1958 Dodge Valiant station wagon. The battery was dead and he got it for $25. Oddly enough there wasn't a scratch on it. It was white with red interior. And had a push-button automatic transmission on the dash. The rear window had an electric motor which was bad. I went to the junkyard and got one that worked.
One Sunday morning my brother and I were down to the construction business Zone. We had hoped a store would be open around 8 but none of the stores were open. There were no cars in sight anywhere. I pulled up to a stop sign and for some reason decided I needed a backup and make a u-turn. I push the reverse button and stepped on the gas. At which point I ran into a 4 by 8 inch solid oak bumper of a pick up that had pulled up right behind me. I started to get out of the car but he waved me on. my brother and I looked at the car and didn't see any damage. A couple of weeks later my dad said there's a crack under this one tail light I'm pretty sure it wasn't there when we bought it. I said hmm and didn't fess up. Now you know.
